Um, excuse me, are you having a melt down?

Seriously, I’m not sure what’s going on. But, as a I look around, it seems to me that a lot of people are truly starting to lose it! As Lauren Hill once said, “It’s funny how money change a situation…” Because it seems to me as the money continues to evaporate so does the human beings’ ability to navigate sanity. In my personal life, I’m seeing some people wrestling with their inner demons long ignored. And, the thing that can always be counted on in a situation like that is they try an suck you in! And, I’m far beyond [...]

Why wait??? Because, it’s good for you!

I was on my way home tonight when I saw this little boy with his dad. I spotted them as we were all getting on the L headed to Brooklyn. The reason I was paying attention is because this kid was asking him to buy him this toy, while he was already holding an art painting of the kid’s name. The father explained to the boy that he had no more money and that they had to go home to Brooklyn as it was late, cold and the stores were closing. The kid suggested they take the painting back, so [...]

The breeze in the chill-zone

Posted in: Life- Nov 24, 2008 No Comments

It’s been an awesome weekend. It was a good time to regroup and rest. I love it  when life is calm and simple. I appreciate those times. And, the hard work it took to get me here. As the sun sets earlier here in the Northeast, and the cold is starting to take up residence; I find, I’m totally into The Lillpad. That’s the name I gave to my little basement apartment, that is my sanctuary. I’ve been buying her little things to make her that much better. Last weekend, I bought some things to make my place more functional. [...]

…On the relentlessness of Love

Posted in: Writing & Poetry- Nov 16, 2008 No Comments

Some people want their love in triangles, I prefer circles… Meaning: what is given is what you recieve, but, multiplied. And, when you crown your love in your heart, you treat them as royalty. You speak in kindess, honor, and most importantly, truth. If you’d rather not be known, then avoiding love with make you so. Never more unknown, than unknown to yourself. It is the light by which all things fly by, and the thing all things in darkness desire. When it’s missing, nothing else maters. When it’s overflowing, nothing else matters. When unexpressed, it inhales all the oxygen from within us, [...]

11:11:08 Awake to the point of exhaustion

Posted in: Life- Nov 12, 2008 No Comments

(singing) “I see Magenta grids… Blue-green ones too… I see them glow, against the full moon… And, I think to myself, what a wonderful world…” I’m tired. Who else is tired? There’s a reason why we don’t physically evolve in one day, but, over thousands of years. I’m convinced, it would kill us! I don’t know how butterflies do it! But, that is why they are the Native American symbol for courage. Can you imagine taking a nap one day, and then being in a coma for a few months, only to wake up looking and feeling completely different?! Or, [...]

Dawning of a new day

Posted in: Life- Nov 07, 2008 No Comments

“All we need is California…” That’s what had just typed to my friend Susan, an hour or so before it happend. I was in the middle of watching the results come in eating a trail mix. And, in the midst of chewing, I heard Charles Gibson say, “We can project California will go to Barack Obama. Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States.” I calmly closed the container of trail mix, and put it down. I then stood up from my couch and promptly collapsed on the floor and began sobbing. I was completely emotionally overwhelemed.  All, [...]

An American story I want to share…

Posted in: Life- Nov 06, 2008 No Comments

Okay, I will talk about my reaction to the new day in American later on… But, for now, I want to share the blog of my friend. He’s an amazing writer, and I’d advise you to keep watch, as I’m betting he’s only going to be getting better at it.  Love Peace Happiness N One, SunDeevah http://revmanny. wordpress. com/2008/11/05/joy-in-the-heart-of-a-cynic/   P.S. Respect our differences and stay away from my temple!

Posted in: Religion & Philosophy- Nov 04, 2008 No Comments

For the record, I was raised Christian. But, upon my own need to answer a lot more questions that I had, out of my own need to find my own spiritual home, I studied many different religious belief systems. And, for the record, I found that I do not agree with any of them whole-heartedly. And, this–this is my choice. So, when ANYone, of ANY religious belief system, tries to convert me to their way of thinking by usage of propaganda, verbal assault, or showing up to my home unwelcomed, I get upset. There seems to be this huge, arrogant [...]

SLOW DOWN! You’re missing it!

Posted in: Life- Nov 01, 2008 No Comments

I’m truly glad I’m sensitive, receptive and always searching. Othewise, I would’ve missed the clear message I got yesterday to “slow down!” Sometimes, I get caught up in the getting there, without really realizing it. When I know there’s an answer to a question, or an answer where the question hasn’t formed–I get impatient. I’m impatient by nature, truly. A huge portion of my life has been tempering it, slowing it down, enjoying the process. And, just when it seems to being going rather well… WHOOPS! I get smacked up with the idea of  “You could be more patient, still.” [...]
